Ashley L Harvey

Radiochemical Laboratory Technician

Ashley Harvey joined ORNL’s Isotope Processing & Manufacturing Division (IPMD) at the Radiochemical Engineering Development Center (REDC) in 2021. As a Radiochemical Laboratory Technician, she assists in the research and development, as well as the separation and dispensing of rare actinide elements. She is a trained radiological worker, proficient in the use of gloveboxes and fume hoods.

Ashley is a part of several teams working within REDC. She plays an integral role in completing the dispensing and shipment of long-lived radioisotopes as requested by the National Isotope Development Center (NIDC), processes and dispenses actinium-225 from thorium-229 for shipment while abiding by current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) guidelines, assists in the research and development of einsteinium-254 separation from californium, and aids in the final processing and dispensing for shipment of berkelium-249, einsteinium-254 and fermium-257.

Ashley holds an Associate in Science degree from Central Carolina Community College, in Sanford North Carolina.
