The Systems Engineering (SE) group within the Research Reactors Division (RRD) is responsible for the HFIR configuration management program. The SE Group also provides technical support to operations and maintenance and performs systems analysis. Prepares engineering designs for new installations and for replacement and upgrade of reactor structures, systems, and components. Prepares instrument uncertainty/setpoint calculations, instrument specifications, along with instrument scaling documents. Prepares and maintains as-built documentation for assigned systems/components, including engineering drawings, specifications, system descriptions, relevant databases, and labeling. Implements modifications, troubleshoots and analyzes system and component failures, provides field work technical direction, analyzes system health in accordance with RRD’s Systems Engineering and Reliability Programs, and trends results of preventive and predictive maintenance data.
