Brian K McCormick

Bio

Brian is a mechanical designer for Instrument Systems at the Second Target Station. His early career started after attending Augusta Technical College in Augusta, Georgia. He joined Club Car as a drafter/designer where he was part of the design team that developed the first all-terrain golf cart for Club Car. His work was focused around the steering and suspension systems while at Club Car. Brian also worked with Frigidaire Home products a manufacturer of riding lawn tractors. He worked as a designer in the hood and fender group designing body, hood and grill components during his stay at Frigidaire.

Prior to joining STS, he held a position of senior design engineer in the vending industry working for Crane Merchandising Systems (Dixie-Narco) for 20 years. He was a design team leader for the cold drink platform developing new products for Coca-Cola and Pepsi customers. His main responsibilities included the design of next generation vend mechanisms, tray/gate design, foamed cabinet design, service door design and top-level assembly management in Solidworks. Brian was also heavily involved in prototype builds, lifecycle testing of components/assemblies in the lab and implementation of new products into manufacturing. Other responsibilities included serving as the SW and EPDM administrator where he developed workflows for engineering changes, first article inspection, job safety analysis and managed the users/groups for SW and EPDM.
