Plasma Diagnostics Researcher Using Applied Spectroscopy Techniques

I currently do research to support fusion machine diagnostics both domestically and internationally (e.g., MPEX, DIIID, ITER, JET, and W7X).  Techniques employed are OES and QMS under low/high vacuum gas sampling conditions.  Therein, the ROI is species consisting of the isotopic profile for hydrogen and helium relative to concentration and partial pressure.  I also support research efforts to develop an RF-induced, electron excitation technique within an evacuated cell cavity to create a confined plasma as the light source for OES.

My prior career experience involved research and testing activities for isotope enrichment technology (e.g., AVLIS, EMIS, and gas centrifuge).
