Cristina graduated with a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from Purdue University.  Upon graduation, she moved to Greenville Texas to work for L-3 Communications as a Mechanical Design Engineer.

At L-3 Communications, she served as a project design lead on various contracts which involved modifying military aircraft for surveillance and reconnaissance applications.  She oversaw the product’s full life cycle including conceptual design development, drawing package creation, product fabrication, and product installation on aircraft.  Aircraft modifications ranged from flight deck upgrades, interior modifications, equipment rack installations, to exterior antenna array installations.

In 2015, Cristina joined the Merrick & Company nuclear division in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.  As a Mechanical Equipment Engineer for Merrick, she worked on mechanical designs, drawings packages, and supporting documents for several glovebox systems for the Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

When the glovebox design effort concluded on the UPF project in 2018, Cristina joined StandardAero in Maryville, Tennessee.  At StandardAero, Cristina worked on the repair and overhaul of AE3007 & AE1107 Rolls Royce aircraft engines.  She provided overhaul instructions to production personnel and provided technical advice to customers on product serviceability.  In 2020, Cristina joined the Second Target Station (STS) team as a Lead Instrument Engineer to assist in instrument beamline design.

Cristina is a member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Smoky Mountain professional chapter and has served as officer several years.  SWE is a non-profit organization that empowers women to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expands the image of engineering and technology professions as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrates the value of diversity and inclusion.
