Bio
Cindy is a member of the HPC & Data Operations, National Center for Computational Sciences. Cindy began her career with Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 1989 working as an EDP Control Assistant. Three years later she began working in the ORNL Data Center as a Data Center Operator. She is currently a Senior Control Room Operator and has worked through many changes of the ever-changing world of computers. Cindy’s is responsible for monitoring the computers and all elements of their environment of the ORNL Data Center plus assisting users with issues that may arise. She has had the opportunity to work with many world leading supercomputers during her time at ORNL including Cray X1-Phoenix, Cray Jaguar, Cray Kraken, Cray Titan and IBM Summit. Cindy is looking forward to welcoming the next supercomputer, Frontier to the ORNL Data Center.
