Bio
George Hine received a PhD from University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland in 2016 for research on laser-based electron and ion acceleration techniques. After completing his dissertation, he continued at University of Maryland as a postdoctoral researcher studying dielectric breakdown in solids. He joined ORNL in 2018 and is currently a staff member investigating applications of lasers for accelerator technology.
