Goldie Harrill is the Administrative Assistant to the Chief Operation Officer of the Physical Sciences Directorate (PSD) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).  Goldie has 23 years of experience as an administrative professional, with most of her experience in the medical field.  She has spent almost two years supporting the COO, the Program and Planning Specialist, and the Communications Coordinator for PSD.  

Goldie began her career at ORNL in 2021, supporting the COVID Unit by preparing forms for testing and vaccine administration along with reporting vaccines to the state of Tennessee.  In 2022, she transitioned to PSD in an administrative support role.  She is also the Directorate Learning Coordinator for PSD and partners with other divisional staff to support PSD's telecommunication division.  She holds an associate degree in Medical Business Systems Technology from Tennessee College of Applied Technology, where she was the Vice President of the Honor Society.  In 2023, she completed her Professional Administrative Certificate of Excellence (PACE) certification. 

In addition to her career at ORNL, she is passionate about helping people in need and helping them find assistance where it is needed.  Since 2010, she has traveled to Africa every year, where she provides medical supplies and helps raise money for much-needed medical attention and food for the village of Kirya.  She has helped raise money to dig wells and start micro-businesses such as milling corn and grains and making soap for the village to sell to help support the community.
