Dr James “Willie” Kemp is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Nanomaterials Chemistry Group in the Chemical Sciences Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN. Before joining ORNL, he was a Research Scientist at UES, Inc. at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. Dr. Kemp received his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering and his Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2016 and 2021, respectively. His research interests are in additive manufacturing, composite materials, and magnetic materials.
