I have over 35 years of experience in Procurement and Maintenance Engineering in commercial nuclear and DOE facilities.  I have been at the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR) in the Research Reactors Division (RRD) since 2005.  Before my current position as Nuclear Materials Manager, I was a Procurement Engineer for the HFIR.  As Nuclear Materials Manager, I oversee routine and mission-critical procurements and fabrications for the HFIR, as well as oversee the Commercial Grade Dedication Program.  Additionally, I serve as the Counterfeit/Suspect Items Representative for RRD.    

Over 35 years of experience in Procurement and Maintenance Engineering, Commercial Grade Dedication, and Supply Chain Management in commercial nuclear and DOE facilities.

-Manage projects/procurements/acceptance of key components to support reliable near and long-term reactor operations (including long-term projects for the HFIR Beryllium Reactor Replacement (HBRR). 

-Review incoming routine and mission-critical requisition requests to apply proper technical and quality requirements (including technical specifications) and assign them to Procurement Specialists.

-Review and approve Commercial Grade Dedication packages and Defense-in-Depth (DID) Evaluations for Safety Class (SC) and DID components and fabrications.

-Suspect/Counterfeit Items Representative for Research Reactors Division.
