Bio
Jesse Heineman is a Technical Staff member at ORNL, and a Mechanical Engineer by training. Jesse's main area of expertise is in the design of complex static and dynamic mechanical systems. Jesse currently works at the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility (MDF) in the Manufacturing Systems Research Group. Jesse spends most of his time designing, implementing, and testing hardware for Additive Manufacturing (AM) systems. Jesse has nearly 15 years of engineering experience from the time before he joined the team at ORNL. Jesse's prior engineering work revolved around complex machinery such as nuclear reactors, tunnel boring machines, hydro-electric generators, and hydraulic cylinders. Jesse enjoys learning about and designing new types of mechanical systems, and loves the work he is doing at ORNL.
