Bio

Radioisotope Laboratory Technician Buddy Christopher joined ORNL in 2015. In his current position, he performs laboratory tests, experiments, process operations, and analyses per written procedures and work control documents to support nuclear R&D as well as mechanical and radiochemical processing operations; assists with glovebox and hot cell operations and remote processing; prepares chemical solutions, makes observations, collects data, maintains clear and complete records, assists with coordination of radioactive and hazardous waste disposal, and manages chemical inventory; and contributes as a team member and assists technical staff and senior technicians with day-to-day operations of chemical and radiochemical laboratories, resolving process-related issues as they arise.

Christopher received a Mission Support Award in 2016.
