Bio
John German is the quality and environmental, safety, and health (ES&H) manager of US ITER. In this role, he works closely with the US ITER Project team to support continued success in its hardware deliveries.
John joined the US ITER Project in 2023 after more than a decade with the defense contractor Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries. There he most recently served as a quality manager for Newport News Shipbuilding at the U.S. Navy's Kesselring Site in New York, after rising through positions of increasing responsibility including nuclear engineer, construction supervisor, quality engineer, and manager of test inspection.
John earned a bachelor's and master's degree in physics from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina.
