Bio
John Ray is manager of design integration at US ITER.
John has more than 43 years design experience, plus over 15 years of supervisory experience. From 2011 to 2022, John was the design services coordinator for US ITER, managed all designers contributing to the project. He is highly experienced with drawing review, design change management, hiring and training designers, and preparing for and support design reviews.
Prior to joining US ITER as a staff member, John contributed both to the US ITER project and to Y-12 as a manager and senior designer. He also worked on the Oak Ridge National Laboratory Fusion Energy Division as a designer contributing to the RF antenna for the Tore Supra (now WEST) tokamak in France.
