Bio
Josh Pierce is a physicist, and Group Leader for the HFIR Low Temperature and Magnets Group. His individual research program is focused on applications of Dynamic Nuclear Polarization to neutron scattering.
Dr. Pierce received a PhD in Nuclear physics from the University of Virginia, where he worked in the Polarized Target Group with Professor Donald Crabb. Before working at ORNL, Dr. Pierce was a staff scientist in the Target Group at Jefferson Lab, in Virginia. There, he designed and operated targets for medium energy electron and photon scattering experiments.
