Bio
Joshua is a Software Engineer within the Data Lifecycles and Scalable Workflows Group. In this role, he works on the DataFed project which is designed to enhance the user-data experience. Joshua has particular interest in accelerating the scientific workflow by improving the robustness and usability of scientific software and its tooling.
Before joining ORNL, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Los Alamos National Lab where he worked on an adaptive mesh refinement code and a C++ library to assist in the generation of datasets for machine learning applications as part of the Exascale computing project. He received his PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he used Monte Carlo charge transport simulations coupled with ab initio and tight binding calculations for studying conductive organic materials.
