
Bio
Kalie Knecht, Ph.D., is an Applied Data Scientist in the Advanced Detection and Applied Data Science group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tennessee and a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Her doctoral research improved the use of information collected by contextual sensors equipped to radiation imagers with computer vision and multi-objective optimization techniques. Kalie’s research interests lie in nonproliferation, primarily in computational methods for improving gamma-ray detection and imaging techniques.
