Bio
Lauren joined ORNL in November 2022 as an Administrative Assistant in the Computer Science and Mathematics Division, supporting the Advanced Computing Systems Research Section. In October 2024, she transitioned to a new role within the Logistical Services Division as a Property Specialist.
Lauren earned her Associate of Applied Science from Roane State Community College in 2010. Following graduation, she worked for 12 years in long-term care as a Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, spending her last seven years at the Ben Atchley Tennessee State Veterans’ Home, where she focused on rehabilitating veterans. During the pandemic, she launched her own small business, Beauty in the Bags, selling authentic second-hand luxury handbags, with a focus on Louis Vuitton products.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, her partner Michael, and their three dogs—Leon (miniature schnauzer), Griffin (aussiedoodle), and Bandit (miniature aussiedoodle). She loves singing in her church choir, boating on Norris Lake, and ATV riding in the mountains.
