Bio
Lauren joined ORNL in November 2022 as an Administrative Assistant in the Computer Science and Mathematics Division supporting the Advanced Computing Systems Research Section.
Lauren achieved her Associate of Applied Science from Roane State Community College in 2010. After finishing this degree, she worked in the long-term care industry for 12 years as a Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She spent her last seven years in that industry at Ben Atchley Tennessee State Veterans’ Home working to rehabilitate our nation’s veterans. During the pandemic, Lauren started her own small business selling second-hand authentic luxury handbags.
Outside of work, Lauren spends most of her time with her family, her significant other, Michael, and their four dogs. She enjoys singing in the choir at church, spending time outdoors on the lake, and riding ATVs in the mountains.
