Postdoctoral Research Associate - Quantum Materials for Quantum Computing

Dr. Lucas A. Pressley is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Nanomaterials Chemistry Group in the Chemical Sciences Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Dr. Pressley has a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. under the supervision of Prof. Tyrel M. McQueen. He obtained a B.S. in Chemistry w/Honors from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina. Dr. Pressley has research interests in areas including quantum materials, X-ray μ-computed tomography, advances in floating zone crystal growth, developing desired structure-property relationships using tunable defects His current focus is on the development of novel inorganic materials in the areas of quantum materials for quantum computing application under the supervision of Dr. Craig Bridges.
