Marouane Salhi

Postdoctoral Fellow

Marouane Salhi obtained his PhD in Physics from University of Tennessee Knoxville, with a focus on the theoretical and computational study of surface plasmons in metallic nano-structures. He is interested in modeling and designing new photonic devices. His research project proposes to reduce propagation loss while increasing electric field confinement in nanophotonics. This will lay a foundation for future advances in high-bandwidth, high-processing speed computing as alternatives to copper connectors in computer circuity become necessary to keep up with Moore’s Law.
