Associate R&D Staff

Dr. Philip S. Britt is an Associate R&D Staff member of the Power Reactor Modeling Group of the Nuclear Energy and Fuel Cycle Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He received his B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2018 and 2021, respectively.

His primary research interest is concerned with the development and application of the Monte Carlo method on the particle transport equation. He is currently working on the application of the Monte Carlo method to generate neutron cross section information for use in deterministic methods under the Nuclear Energy and Application Modeling and Simulation (NEAMS) program.
