Nuclear waste operations technician Samuel Lawson, who serves as control room supervisor for the Radiochemical Engineering Development Center, joined ORNL in 2014.
Lawson received a 2018 REDC Mission Support award for dedicated contributions to the mission success of ORNL's californium-252, plutonium-238 and plutonium-beryllium programs, and was recognized for working expanded shifts to meet program demands and challenges.
He is a graduate of Roane State Community College.
