Scott E Haythorn

Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer, US ITER Project

Scott Haythorn is a US ITER Project Team Senior I&C Engineer for the Vacuum Auxiliary Systems. He is responsible for the design, fabrication and delivery of these systems. Scott joined the US ITER project in 2022 as a Senior I&C Engineer. In that role, he is serving as a Technical Project Officer for Wall Mounted Cubicles procurement.

Scott previously served with the U.S. AFSOC for ten years. He started out his professional career as a Project Engineer, designing complex automated manufacturing processes, holding roles as a Project Manager and Senior Electrical Engineer. Before joining US ITER, Scott served as a Senior I&C Engineer for AquaChem Inc. There he supported the DOD systems with complex controls, interlocks, and remote monitoring and handling for RO distillation systems. 

Scott holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the Point Park College-Pittsburgh
