Scott G Simmerman

HPC Software Engineer

Scott is a software developer with over ten years experience in HPC systems, scientific data visualization and web application development. After receiving an M.S. in computer science from the University of Tennessee in 2009, Scott joined the National Institute for Computational Sciences (NICS) where he served as Technology Integration lead for the National Science Foundation Center for Remote Data Analysis and Visualization (RDAV) and later as software lead for the HPC Operations group. Currently, Scott is a member of the Software Services Development group within the OLCF Operations Section.

Scott is also an accomplished jazz pianist and can be heard occasionally at various local venues.
