Bio
Selda Nayir is a post-doctoral Research Associate in the Materials for Advanced Manufacturing group which is a part of the Materials Science and Technology Division in Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She received her MSc and Ph.D. from the Department of Metallurgical, and Materials Engineering, at Istanbul Technical University (Istanbul, Turkey) and her BSc from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Anadolu University (Eskisehir, Turkey). Before joining ORNL, she worked as a post-doctoral associate at the Pennsylvania State University Engineering Science and Mechanics, and Materials Science and Engineering Departments on the characterization of additively manufactured parts. Her research focuses on microstructural and mechanical characterization of additively manufactured alloys and identifying the processing parameter effects on materials' properties.
