Bio
Dr. Shane Hart has been a postdoc at ORNL in the Nuclear Data and Criticality Group since 2015. He works mostly on SCALE related tasks and is responsible for the "on-the-fly" Doppler broadening in KENO, which he completed during his PhD work. Prior to his time at ORNL, he was a graduate student at the University of Tennessee under the advisor Dr. G. Ivan Maldonado. He obtained his M.S. in 2010 and his PhD in 2014, both in Nuclear Engineering.Before heading to the US in 2008, Dr. Hart worked for Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) in the Methods Integration division of the Reactor Physics branch. There he spent time working on the CANDU reactor diffusion code RFSP in addition to the lattice physics code WIMS-AECL. He obtained his B.Eng. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) in 2007 as part of the first graduating class.
