Shelaine (she/her) has an M.S. from Frostburg State University in Applied Ecology and Conservation Biology and has a technical background in computer science, statistics, and biology. Shelaine has supported projects for various federal agencies throughout her career, including NASA’s Large Scale Biosphere Experiment in the Amazonia (LBA), NASA’s Boreal Ecosystem-Atmosphere Study (BOREAS), USGS National Biological Information Infrastructure and the Fire Research and Management Exchange System (FRAMES), and ORNL/DOE's Water Power Technologies Office. She has over 20 years of experience managing people and projects and received her Project Management Professional certification in 2009. Shelaine is a Senior Project Manager in the ORNL Project Management Office supporting biostatistics and bioinformatics research on the Modeling Outcomes Using Surveillance Data and Scalable Artificial Intelligence for Cancer (MOSSAIC)  and EHRLICH (EHR informed LagrangIan method for precision public Health) projects with the National Center for Computational Sciences.
