I am a wetland ecologist/biogeochemist and my current work focuses on simulating estuarine wetland vegetation function. I am incorporating a vegetation response to salinity and inundation into the E3SM land model, and in the near future, this work will be coupled with PFLOTRAN to simulate integrated biogeochemical and plant processes in coastal and estuarine wetlands. The overall goal is to model how emissions of greenhouse gases from coastal ecosystems might change in response to sea level rise.
