Bio
Ms. Heinz has over 20 years of professional experience as an Agile Project Manager and Certified Scrum Master. Susan is currently the Technical Project Manager for the Next Generation Ecosystem Experiment Arctic (NGEE Arctic), a Science Focus Area under DOE's Biological Environmental Research (BER) program. Previous positions at ORNL include Technical Project Manager for the Knowledge Systems for Sustainability (KSS), Impacts, Adaptations and Vulnerability (IAV) Theme, and the ORNL NASA Distributed Data Archive Center.
Susan's technical background includes GIS and other spatial analysis both in classified and unclassified environments, archive data management, remote sensing image processing and cartography. Previous to joining ORNL, Susan held positions with the US Coast Guard Fourteenth District, GeoLogics, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Raytheon, Science Applications International Corp. and her own company The Star Group.
