Tam is a technician in the Blanket and Fuel Cycle Group of the Fusion Energy Division, which is part of the Fusion and Fission Energy Science Directorate. His work is focused on fabrication, assembly, and testing of cryogenic and vacuum components for fusion applications. This includes contributions and support for testing of the ITER SPI prototype, assembly and testing of the W7X Continuous Pellet Fueling System, the DIII-D Pellet Switch, and the ITER Pellet Injector System (PIS), assembly and testing of the barrels for JET Shattered Pellet Injector. He joined ORNL in Feb 2011 after getting the Associate of Science degree (Electrical Engineering Technology) at Pellissippi State Technology Community College in 2009. He also earned the Bachelor of Science degree (Industrial Technology) at East Tennessee State University in 2016.
