Tanvir Sohail

Postdoctoral Research Associate

As a Postdoctoral Research Associate at ORNL's Advanced Computing for Chemistry and Materials Group at the National Center for Computational Sciences (NCCS), Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), I focus on advancing computational methods for characterizing and developing novel materials. My research interests lie in fine-tuning multiscale models for high entropy alloys and polymer composites, utilizing a combination of ab initio calculations, molecular dynamics, and finite element analysis.
Beyond my research, I am a keen soccer enthusiast, actively engaging in the sport as both a player and a fan, which complements the collaborative and analytical skills required in my scientific endeavors.
