Mission Management Software (MMS) Section Head

Tim Wynn is the Mission Management Software (MMS) Section Head under the Nuclear Nonproliferation Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. MMS develops, maintains, and manages innovative software systems that support missions of the Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) associated with collection, analysis, and reporting of data for infrastructure and project management; strategic commodity inventory and tracking; applied data analytics for multi-component measurement and operating systems; and decision management.

Over the last 20 years, he has managed several DOE and NNSA initiatives from concept to completion. Tim’s comprehensive IT background includes software development, cyber security, system architecture, and IT operations. He serves as a subject matter expert on IT projects that support the U.S. nonproliferation agenda and is the IT Director for the NNSA Program Management Information System, Generation 2 (G2) project. In addition, Tim supervises employees in the areas of project management, software development, and IT operations.

Tim earned an M.S. in Information Science with a concentration in Information Systems from The University of Tennessee, a B.S. from Tennessee Technological University, and holds the following certifications: PMI-certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Infrastructure Technology Information Library (ITIL) Foundations, and SAFe Agilist.
