He then decided to pursue a second bachelors in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. After finishing this degree in 2011, he worked on High Performance Computing (HPC) in the oil and gas industry. While there, he optimized seismic processing algorithms, enabled machine learning and data analytics on an HPC cluster, and created a machine learning enabled seismic processing framework.
