Areas of research activity

- Multiscale modelling of materials: DFT, atomistic, mesoscale.

- Large-scale atomic level modelling of dislocation dynamics.

- Modeling of phase stability and phase transformation: diffusional and diffusionless transformations in metals and alloys.

- Radiation damage theory/modeling: microstructure evolution (metals and alloys, including high entropy alloys) under irradiation, ageing and irradiation-ageing cycling.  Radiation induced embrittlement and hardening, precipitation and radiation defects.

- Diffusion and atomic transport in metals and alloys.  Diffusion in special cases - anomalous metals, cascade damage regions, secondary phase precipitates, concentrated and high entropy alloys, etc.  Vacancy, interstitial and clusters mobility in pure metals and alloys

- Atomic scale study of tribology, surfaces and interfaces in metals.

- Interatomic interactions in metals and alloys.

- Modeling of point defects, clusters, stacking faults, dislocations, precipitates, primary radiation damage, dynamics of dislocations, etc.
