Fusion Engineering

The Fusion Engineering Group, part of the Fusion Nuclear Science, Technology, and Engineering Section, develops advanced designs and engineering solutions for individual components and integrated systems for future US and international fusion systems.

The group's vision is to take the lead in establishing ORNL as the flagship fusion engineering and technology lab within the DOE complex. This could be achieved with the successful completion of the MPEX project, support and collaboration with ITER, by exploiting opportunities for new facilities, and by additional internal and external collaboration.
