HPC Methods for Nuclear Applications

The HPC Methods for Nuclear Applications Group extends modeling and simulation tools for nuclear technologies to high performance computing. Since most modeling and simulation tools for nuclear applications are not compatible with modern computational tools, this group applies a multidisciplined approach, bridging both exascale computing and nuclear engineering.  

The group's leadership in this area supports the development and deployment of nuclear technologies toward the goal of scientific discovery that will address national challenges in energy production and enable a clean, sustainable carbon-free future.
