The Data and AI Systems Research Section addresses challenging problems using artificial intelligence, enable the management, movement, and visualization of very large scientific sets for HPC, and empower new knowledge discovery for scientific and national security challenges through advanced computing technologies. The section has capabilities in the following areas:
- Learning Systems — Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and data analysis at scale.
- Visualization — Methods, tools, and technologies for visual data analysis.
- Workflow Systems — Large scale data management, workflow, and data compression.
- Data Engineering — Engineering data assets and systems, including data wrangling and system design, to drive scientific innovation.
- Performance Engineering – Engineering and management of secure systems.
