Dr. D. de Wet is a R&D Assistant Staff Member in nuclear thermal hydraulic analysis in the Advanced Reactor Systems Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. His research focuses on advanced nuclear reactor design and analysis, working primarily with molten salt reactor systems to facilitate the next generation of reactor concepts. Dr. de Wet earned his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. 

Dane also works on virtual and augmented reality development for scientific applications. He has developed several augmented reality applications for visualizing and interacting with scientific and engineering data, and continues to grow the augmented reality programs at the laboratory.
