Bio
Dr. Rother received his Diplom (1996, equivalent MS) in Chemistry and Ph.D (2002) in Physical Chemistry from Technical University Berlin. In his thesis work, he studied phase separation of binary liquids in nanopores and surfactant adsorption phenomena. Since 2005, he has been at ORNL, applying neutron scattering and other techniques to nano-porous rock and materials characterization and studies of fluid behaviors in pores. Current research interests include the adsorption of water, CO2, hydrocarbons, and dissolved ions to nanoporous materials and rocks.
