Lingshi Wang

R&D Associate Staff

Dr. Lingshi Wang is a R&D Associate Staff in Thermal Energy Storage Group at ORNL. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Building Services Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) in 2017. Then he stayed in the same research group in PolyU as a Research Associate to continue his research on absorption thermal energy storage. Prior to be a Ph.D. student, he also had a M.S. degree in Refrigeration and Cryogenics Engineering from Zhejiang University, China.

Since August 2018, Dr. Wang joined ORNL as a postdoc and has been working on a number of cutting-edge building technologies R&D projects including thermal energy storage for grid-interactive buildings, low-temperature geothermal energy, absorption thermal energy storage, phase change material, membrane technologies for HVAC applications, liquid/solid desiccant, advanced natural-gas furnace, etc. He has published more than 20 journal papers and reports as well as 20 conference papers. Dr. Wang is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) and the Geothermal Resources Council (GRC).
