Software Engineer

I started my college career in the spring of 2016 at Walters State Community College (WSCC) pursuing an associate’s degree in computer science. While at WSCC, I was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. After graduating from WSCC with highest honors in the spring of 2018, I transferred to East Tennessee State University (ETSU). At ETSU, I completed a bachelor’s in information technology with highest honors in the spring of 2021 and a master’s in information systems in the spring of 2023. During my master’s program, I received the Department of Computing’s Outstanding Graduate Student in Information Systems 2022-2023 award and the College of Business and Technology’s Outstanding Graduate Student 2022-2023 award. As a master’s student, I also had the opportunity to participate as a data engineering intern at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), where I gained experience creating complex visualizations using HPC data.

After graduation, I had the opportunity to return to ORNL as a data engineering intern during the summer of 2023 through the fall. I later joined the ORNL team full-time as a software engineer at the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility (MDF).
