Bio
Shimin Tang is postdoctoral research associate in the Nuclear Science and Engineering Directorate and she is working on the AI project now. She obtained her B.S. in Engineering from the Beijing Union University, M.Sc. in Electrical and Electricity Engineering from the University of Manchester and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computing Engineering & Mathematics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She joined ORNL in 2021.
Her research focused on applying AI techniques in neutron imaging works for the researches in fields of materials science (such as energy storage material, advanced nuclear fuel, and additive manufacturing).
