Stacy C Davis

Bio
Stacy C. Davis has worked with transportation energy data at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) for over 30 years. As the Group Leader for the Transportation Analytics and Decision Sciences Group, she currently compiles and analyzes data for the Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Program. Ms. Davis has been the lead author of ORNL’s Transportation Energy Data Book since 1988 and has led the Fuel Economy Information project since 2020. She holds a B.S. in Transportation and Logistics from the University of Tennessee. She has authored more than 80 publications on transportation energy and related issues, including several editions of the Vehicle Technologies Market Report and the Biomass Energy Data Book. Her work has been cited in DOE’s National Energy Modeling System, EPA’s Motor Vehicle Emission Simulator, Popular Science Magazine and the 2007 Economic Report to the President. Ms. Davis received a Special Recognition Award from the Department of Energy’s Vehicle Technologies Office in 2014 for her high-quality data contributions. She was chosen as a Woman of Distinction in the Oak Ridge YWCA Night of Tribute in 2002. More recently, Ms. Davis received the Science Communicator Award at UT-Battelle's 2022 Awards Night. She is active in the Transportation Research Board’s Committee on Transportation Energy and the Committee on Alternative Transportation Fuels and Technologies.
