Mr. Wade Ivey is the group leader for the Radioactive Materials Analytical Laboratory. In this position, Wade provides leadership to advance ORNL’s nuclear analytical capabilities and expertise. He has twenty-three years of radioanalytical laboratory experience performing sample preparation, radionuclide separations, and sample measurements using nuclear instrumentation for a variety of sample types, including special nuclear materials. Wade is familiar with the calibration and use of alpha spectroscopy, gamma spectroscopy, liquid scintillation, and proportional counting systems used for radionuclide measurements. Wade also has experience with Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry for analysis of radioactive and non-radioactive parameters. Wade has expertise with data analysis, data interpretation, data validation and verification, and quality assurance/control aspects of radiochemical analyses.
