Optimal Regional Architecture Generation for Electrified National Transport (OR-AGENT)

This disclosure presents a concept to develop an on-road transportation system architecture optimally. In this solution the vehicle powertrain architecture, the operations systems, energy flow and infrastructure sub- systems will be integrated for a total system optimization. We have developed an advanced commercial vehicle, road and freight network, and energy systems assessment called the OR-AGENT (Optimal Regional Architecture Generation for Electrified National Transport) modeling framework. This framework assimilates critical data for seasonal operating scenarios (including freight mobility, traffic, weather, and energy pathways) to provide a regional specific constrained-optimal infrastructure deployment solution based on technoeconomic measures.
