The Robotics and Intelligent Systems Group focuses on developing world-class manufacturing technology around intelligent automation. The multi-disciplinary team leverages ORNL’s fundamental and applied expertise in electro-mechanical systems, computation, and sensor technologies to solve globally relevant manufacturing challenges.
Working closely with DOE’s Manufacturing Demonstration Facility, the group has the opportunity to team with experts in advanced manufacturing technologies ranging from intelligent machine tools to large scale concrete additive manufacturing.
