CSAT Chemical Security Portal Version 5.1.00 Released

In September 2021, the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Center for Infrastructure Security Analysis (CISA) Development Team released the Chemical Security Portal Version 5.1.00, implementing upgrades to the CHEMSEC utility to meet new business process requirements from program sponsor, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Office of Chemical Security. 
Version 5.1.00 included the following enhancements: 

  • Newly developed Oracle Application Express (APEX) applications to support the new modules, Potential Chemical Facilities of Interest and Compliance Assistance.
  • Additional updated database code and structures in support of the new modules.
  • Updates to the existing Top-Screen and FASTInfo applications to support integrations with the new modules.
  • Newly added user roles to support the updated application (i.e., Top-Screen and FASTInfo) deployments, in addition to roles migrated from the Appian Business Process Management (BPM) system.

The Potential Chemical Facilities of Interest and Compliance Assistance module upgrades implemented crucial changes to CHEMSEC business processes and are key to the process of migrating from the Appian BPM system to a much improved, custom-developed APEX solution.
